2020-03-12 Food tour of the Old City of Jerusalem

Join us for an authentic tasting journey, between different times and religions, through the Old City of Jerusalem between the walls. We will hear about the rich history of the place, which made it sacred for the three religions, we will walk through the different districts, we will see all kinds of people, we will taste an abundance of foods and we will hear the most interesting stories. We will start with a local original coffee, taste a pastry in a bakery that has existed for over 400 years, visit an old and hidden tahini factory and taste black tahini, find out what makes chickpeas the best, smell spices with special qualities, hear about a business that goes on for generations. The ancient, the only institution agreed upon by all as the best in its field. We will take you through the narrow and lesser known alleys, visit beautiful views and together we will open our mouths and hearts to all the abundance that the Old City has to offer.

Educational Graffiti Workshop for Teenage Groups

Let’s create something good!

One amazing thing about graffiti is that teens really connect to it. Using graffiti we can find a common language, create an educational dialogue and encourage teens to express themselves through creativity in a way that can actually influence and inspire their environment and inner world.

We are a group of professionals, including educators that have found this as a way to connect with teens, get them to open up, cooperate and leave a positive stamp that gives them a sense of pride and satisfaction. What really makes us enthusiastic about this project is that we used to be very rebellious ourselves and have taken that minus and turned it into a huge plus! We’ve discovered how much we could influence for the good and want to pay it forward!

So what will we actually do?

We’ll share some of our personal stories- how we ended up where we are today and what made us go out to the streets and share our voice.
These stories will spark their creativity and give them inspiration to create something of their own
We’ll show some graffiti art, share the meaning behind the pieces and how they were actually made
We’ll put them into our shoes, fill them with enthusiasm and show them how we take an idea, develop it and then encourage them to start thinking of their own idea.

We’ve discovered how important it is to share our personal stories with teens in order for them to relate and through that empower them and show them that there are many ways to succeed, feel special and make a change using creativity.

We’ll start the workshop and show them different techniques that we’ve developed through the years and let them enjoy and experiment with the spray themselves. This is the point they begin to fly (in a good way).
It’s important for us that every participant leaves feeling satisfied so just in case, we make sure to bring stencils of our own work and something they can spray on so they will always leave feeling proud of themselves.
If you want to go all out- we will help you think of an idea for a full wall painting, create a draft and together through teamwork, we’ll paint the wall leaving them with a positive reminder, a taste for more, and super proud of themselves!

Why are we so passionate about this project?

we’re addicted to the spark that lights up in teenagers eyes
we’ve witnessed kids who thought they “aren’t creative” expressing themselves freely
Graffiti is an amazing tool and the sense of gratification is immediate
we believe it’s important to teach teens when it is considered vandalism and when it has value
we’re professionals and want to give you the highest quality experience that will give you the tools to venture on independently later.

**If you want to create a meaningful process- we recommend planning a series of sessions that will allow room for bonding among the teens, allow time to come up with a profound idea and experience the process of going from idea to execution.

During each session we’ll share stories that will inspire and enthuse them, teach spraying techniques that will advance as we progress

and the only real challenge we will face is that we might not be able to get them to leave at the end of the session 🙂
